Aftercare instructions

We recommend that you leave your bandage on for a minimum of 2 hours. This bandage maintains a clean barrier between your new tattoo and any dirt, debris, contaminants et al while it’s most susceptible to infection. (DO NOT RE-BANDAGE YOUR TATTOO)

After removing the bandage, wash your tattoo gently but thoroughly with warm water and unscented, liquid antibacterial soap on your fingertips (avoid using washcloths, sponges, bar soap etc.) repeat this 2-3 times per day until the tattoo is no longer peeling.

Allow your tattoo to air dry.

Apply a thin coat of an unscented, white lotion with clean hands, rubbing in any excess. Repeat this step 2-3 times per day until the tattoo is no longer peeling.

Do not use: petroleum jelly (Vaseline); antibacterial creams/ointments (Neosporin, Bacitracin, Bag Balm); alcohol; peroxide; home remedies (tattoo goo, H2Ocean), etc.

Typical healing time is between 1 and 2 weeks.

During healing, avoid prolonged direct exposure to sunlight, steam, soak, salt water, dirt, and grease; no swimming pools, saunas, rivers, lakes, hot tubs, etc. Maintain a consistent level of good hygiene and healthy diet to expedite the healing process.

Do not pick scabs; allow them to fall off naturally during washing/lubricating/healing.

Wearing loose fitting, clean clothes during healing helps your tattoo heal better and more quickly.

Maintain clean bedding and towels during the healing process. Especially if your household has pets.

Redness, irritation, swelling, tenderness, heat, slight discharge of pigment, possible bruising are all normal side effects that may occur and can last several days. Adverse reactions include; pus; yellow discharge; prolonged bleeding; prolonged fever; rash; spreading irritation.
